One of the biggest frustrations kids my age have is the restrictions put on the school issued chromebooks. Most kids, when finished with assignments would love to play games and chat with their friends. The school filters prevent most sites from being accessed using school wifi and chromebooks. In addition teachers also have the ability to view our screens, block sites and close tabs they don't want us using. I decided to create a AWS EC2 instance and then coded a chat room and portal with classmates favorite games. I also created a proxy that bypasses the school filters to allow users to access any site. I had so many requests from classmates for additional games to be added I created my own HR department with employees to manage the requests. I was receiving so much traffic to the site I decided to generate revenue to pay for the server and added advertisements to the site in places that wouldn't distract game play.
