How I built my website and business - age 10

After a few friends needed computer help, I decided at age 10 it was time to start my own computer repair business.  Since I am so young most people don't believe I have the skills needed to fix computers and other forms of technology.  My Uncle Big Dave told me I should start a blog with all the things I have created so people would understand that my abilities are above the average elementary school kid.  Troy Tech was born.

Jan 15th 2023 - The first thing I did was buy the domain name troysmithson.com by using Cloudflare. It costs $9.15 a year, so I did some chores around the house to earn the money.  I also purchased a monthly subscription on Shopify of $5 to host the site.  Now I make sure to do my weekly chores to keep earning money to run my site.

March 2023 - I have played around enough on Shopify I am ready to create my site.  It took me about a week to get the site put together.  I uploaded my new business logo created by our friend Steve.  I worked with my mom to create my mission statement.  She had me view several companies mission statements and determine what my goal for my company was.  I then set up my shop called tech support.  I wrote detailed descriptions of what I could do in each of the categories and allowed people to review my products.  I selected a generic price of $10 because I thought it would be good starting price but I also love to work for my favorite candy Rips.  In addition to the shop I also established a blog to document different fun projects I have done over time.
